Turin Airport Car Rental

Turin Caselle Airport Basics.....

The Turin Airport (TRN) is the principle airport serving Turin and the surrounding region of Northern Italy. The airport has been recently renovated in 2005 in preparation for the Winter Olympics.  It's a very busy airport handling over 5 million passengers a year and there are more plans in the future to make new changes and expansions in response to more carriers wanting to fly in and out of the facility.  In fact in 2007 and 2008 the Turin airport won ACI's best airports award for Europe for its airport category.

Turin is a major cultural as well as business city in Northern Italy.  It's well known for its many restaurants, art galleries, parks, piazzas, theaters, museums, libraries.  It's also well known for its neo-classical, rococo, art nouveau and baroque architecture.  It's abundant with the finest colleges, universities, gymnasia and lycea in the country.  Also its multitude of sights and monuments has made it one of the world's 250 top travel destinations and in the top ten for cities visited in Italy.

Directions to Turin From the Airport...

To get to Turin, you will want to head north (eventually curving due South) out of the airport toward Strada San Maurizio out of the airport for 1.1 km.  Follow Raccordo Autostradale Torino-Aeroporto di Caselle.  You'll see a big sign for Torino and you'll want to follow that.  You're going to follow this road for around 10 km.  You'll then Exit to the left toward Barriera di Milano/Collina.
You'll then merge onto Corso Grosseto and this road turns into Via Sandro Botticelli.  When you get to a traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Piazza Derna.  Then you'll turn right onto Corso Giulio Cesare.  There are rail tracks for public transportation on the road.
Stay to the right onto Largo Giulio Cesare it turns into Corso Giulio Cesare. You want to follow it for 1.3 km.  Then make a left turn onto Lungo Dora Firenze and then a right onto Ponte Regio Parco.  You'll see the rails on the median and large apartment buildings straight ahead.  Turn right onto Corso Regio Parco and then left onto Via Gianfrancesco Fiochetto.  Then make a slight left back on Corso Regio Parco.  Now you are going to make a right onto Corso San Maurizio. Take the 1st right onto Viale dei Partigiani and at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Viale Primo Maggio.  Viale Primo Maggio turns into Piazza Castello and you have arrived in the center of Turin for a day of sightseeing.

Turin Airport Car Rental Return...

For the most part, you will reverse the directions above to get back to the Airport.  When you exit back towards the airport, you will see a big white airplane displayed at the exit that you need to take back to the facility.  Take the exit.  There will be a petrol station at the airport, near the multi-story car park.  However, since the petrol station is located on the premisis of the airport, we believe that prices are probably higher than they would be in city of Turin itself, or at a fueling station on the way back to the airport.

Types of Rental Vehicles at the Turin Airport.....

Just about all types of rental vehicles are available at the Turin Airport.  SUV's, economy cars, luxury cars, minivans (and minibuses) and just regular standard-size sedans are all available here.  As a rule, however, we generally recommend that you reserve your vehicles before arriving.  This is for a couple of reasons.  One, using an online booking engine (like Eurocar Rental) will generate a list of car companies in order of price.  This would take a lot of work at the airport to find the costs for each car rental company.  Second, cars run out.  Why not put a booking on a car to reserve the type of rental car that you want?  It just makes sense.

Thanks for shopping with us.  We hope that you use our car rental booking company to get the car (and the price) that you are looking for.  We also hope you enjoy your stay in Turin and your Turin Airport Car Rental.
