The Seattle Airport is an extremely large facility that serviced over 30 million passengers in 2010, slightly down from about 31 million in 2009. Domestic passengers total about 90 percent of all flights, as international flights consist of the remaining 10 percent. The airport is ranked in the top 20 U.S. airports in terms of total passengers, with the Atlanta Airport being the larges in terms of passengers.
Renting a car at the Sea-Tac Airport is not a difficult thing to do. There are currently nine car rental companies with desks located in the baggage claim area. Five of these companies have a drop off or pickup area at the facility in the garage area on the main floor, just next to the Main Terminal. A list of car rental companies available to choose from include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, Advantage, Dollar, Enterprise, and Thrifty. Two companies that have agencies off site are EZ Rent a car and Fox Rent A Car. Cars belonging to these two agencies are also off site as well.
To date, Hertz gets the most business to and from the Seattle Airport, followed closely by Avis and National.
Most hotels nearby (as well as car rental companies that exist offsite) will provide a free courtesy shuttle service for their customers from the airport to the respective facility.
Besides car rental, the Seattle Airport offers its passengers many other amenities. Bank ATM's are located in the Main Terminal, Concourse A, B, C, D, North Satellite, South Satellite and the Central Terminal.
One of the neat features of the Sea-Tac airport is a service called 'Ken's Baggage and Frozen Food Storage'. Ken's is inside the Portrait on the baggage claim level tucked in between the twelfth and thirteenth carousel. Ken will store just about anything for a small fee, and will rent out a variety of things to passengers. They also have coy machines, fax services, notary public's and cell phones for sale.
