After picking up the car head out onto S1. You are going to follow this road for 12.5 km. There's not much to see and not much development during this stretch of the trip. It's mostly country as you'll pass by many smaller towns. You're then going to want to turn off to the right onto Route 86 for another 17 km. As you drive you'll see a large body of water to the left. You'll pass by Sarnow and many other towns on route.
Route 86 turns into Route 4/S86 and still mostly agricultural and country surroundings. You will then start seeing more buildings and urban development. Follow the road for another 6.5 km. You'll see the buildings on the horizon as you approach the city. You will merge onto Aleja Walentego Rozdzienskiego and follow the road for 1.3 km. You'll then enter a big turning circle named rondo Generala Jerzego Zietka. There will be a beautiful dome shaped building in the center of it and at this point, you have arrived in Katowice.
