Directions to Bordeaux from the Airport...

If traveling to Bordeaux with your Airport rental car (rental car parking sits across from the Arrivals area of the Terminals), we generally recommend that you hop on N563 (Avenue Rene Cassin) and travel Eastbound towards Bordeaux.  After about 3 km, you will merge right into John Fitzgerald Kennedy, then a traffic circle.  Watch for signs at the traffic circle and continue East towards Bordeaux.  Merge into D106 (Departmental Road - watch for yellow signs) and continue on D106 into the Bordeaux city center in your rental car.

Bordeaux Airport Car Rental Return...

When returning the car from Bordeaux, we generally recommend following D106 all the way back to the airport.  Watch for signs and be ready to make decisions, especially around the traffic circles (most Americans are unfamiliar with these).  Watch for overhead green signs indicating the Merignac Airport, and remember to re-fuel before arriving back at the airport.  There will be plenty of fueling stations along the D106 roadway.

Airport Amenities.....

For starters, you will be glad to know that there is free Wi-Fi throughout the entire Bordeaux Airport.  Next, you should find some food choices that work for you.  Illy in the A & B Connecting Wing, Koisque Paul in Hall A, and Quest Bar in the Public Area of Hall B each offer something for your flight out.

There are cash machines located both in the Terminal A and Terminal B in the Arrivals area, and in Terminal A of the Departures area.  For any postal needs, there is a post office situated in the Arrivals area of Terminal A, next to the Oxbow Coffee Bar.
