Airport Basics.....
There are many reasons to visit the city of Adana in Turkey: the Culture, the Kebab but most of all, the quiet urban atmosphere. Adana International airport is a perfect reflection of the quiet lifestyle of the city. Since you are reading this article you will most likely be arriving through the International terminal. Only 500,000 passengers per year visit the International terminal of the Adana airport so the amount of traffic is small. In fact, it is a rare phenomenon to see more than one gate open. Although the traffic count is fairly small, the capacity of the airport is over 2 million.
Rental Cars at the Adana Airport.....

Getting Around the Airport.....
The first place that you will visit after landing is the arrivals hall. The immigration lines are small and most of the times only have people from your aircraft. If you have a passport which requires a visa to be optioned on arrival you will have to get the visa from the visa office which is located just before the immigration officers. Ironically enough it is rare for the visa officer, immigration officer and most of the people of Adana to speak English however it is not a problem as immigration officers know the basic English terms and sentences. When obtaining a visa you will have to pay a fee which all depends on the country that you live in. Refer to your local Turkish embassy for more info. Please note that they only accept Euros, Dollars and of course Turkish Liras as forms of payment for the visa.
After passing immigration is of course the baggage claim. As your aircraft is most likely the only one that has landed your baggage will arrive quite quickly. Once you have claimed your baggage you are ready to exit the airport - after exiting the baggage are you will be already outside of the building.
Getting Around the City.....
The airport is located roughly 3 miles from the centre of the city so getting there and back by rental car won't be a problem. After checking in you will have to go through emigration and security. Once passing you will be in the Departure room. The whole departure of the international terminal is literally one big room. There are no restaurants so if you known that you'll get hungry eat before heading for the airport or just wait till food is served on the plane.
All flights will serve food - even on the 30 minute flight to Ercan, Cyprus will be serving food. There will be one small souvenir shop to buy last minute gifts but it is small so it is recommended to buy everything while you're in Adana.
